Happy Halloween!

The kids love Halloween. Being a holiday we never celebrated in Australia they were so excited to be involved in all of the Halloween fun being offered over here! Emma dressed up as a sorcerer and Hayden opted to be a ninja (I am pretty sure he chose this so he could have weapons). The kids looked so cute in their costumes and this really put them in the spirit of all things Halloween. They got to wear their costumes a few different times. Once at the ward party, again for a trunk or treat put on by the lady that sold us our house, again for the school parade and then finally on Halloween when they went trick or treating.

Trick or treating was quite the experience and they came home with SO much candy! Paul went with the kids and I stayed home to hand out candy to other trick-or-treaters. By the end of the night the kids had enough to candy to last a life time. I sorted it into containers and they are only allowed one piece a day. So as you can imagine we will be eating it for quite a while yet! I am not a huge fan of this new holiday - but our kids had so much fun I doubt they will ever not celebrate it while we are living here!
