Today I received a phone call from Sister Meurs! It was so nice to hear from someone back home in Perth and to have someone understand my accent and not have to say "pardon" even once! Brother and Sister Meurs are in town for general conference and had tonight free and wanted to catch up. They invited us out to dinner along with Jo and Steve Riley (also ex-Perth people). We met up at the Marriott Hotel and then headed off for dinner at Biaggi's. Dinner was scrumptious - Italian food is my favourite! It was so nice catching up and being able to discuss life here in Utah and how it compares to the likes of Perth. It was also nice to hear about how everyone is doing back home and what everyone is up to - especially baby Maddi who we miss so much - sounds like she has grown up so much in the short time we have been away! We have sent home big cuddles and kisses with the Meurs so make sure you go and collect them! Thanks so much to Brother and Sister Meurs for visiting with us and inviting us out for dinner - it was fun and a nice reminder of all our loved ones back home in Perth! We miss you all so much! Come and see us soon! : )
(sorry for the horrible photo - I asked to take one for my blog but should have actually checked that it came out ok before putting my camera away! oops! Jo and Paul don't actually have devil eyes and Steve wasn't asleep!)
