Today was such a beautiful day - the sun was shining and it was hot! Hayden and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather by having picnic down at the park. Loads of other families were there too - seems everyone had the same idea! We went to the shops to pick out our picnic food - Hayden wanted a ceaser salad and a doughnut. Unfortunately I forgot to bring forks - so he had to eat his salad with his hands! He didn't seem to mind too much though! After eating Hayden went off to play. The park has four separate play areas. One of the areas is a muscle/workout area with weight machines and mini steppers and even chin up and push up bars.
In one of the areas Hayden discovered a spinning chair. The chair is slanted so when you sit on it your body weight leans to one side and makes the chair spin. The longer you're on it the faster it goes. The first time Hayden sat on it we had no idea what was going to happen. I was busy trying to get a good photo as it started spinning really fast - Hayden went flying off and into the dirt. I thought he was going to complain and tell me he was hurt... nope.... he wanted to get on it again! We must have been at the chair for a good half an hour! He absolutely loved it! It doesn't look as though it is going that fast, but as with most spinning things - it feels a lot faster then it looks!
As we were leaving we had to walk past the volleyball nets - it reminded Hayden of the indoor beach volleyball place in Perth because of the sand it was on so he immediately ran over and started impersonating Paul. He loved posing and kept saying "Mum - does Dad do this?" if I replied yes he said "then take a photo!" It was so much fun spending the afternoon hanging out with Hayden. He loved playing and having a picnic and even said to me "this is so fun hanging out here with you" it made my day! It was fun hanging out with you too Hayden! We both agreed that we need to do it again soon with Daddy and Emma! Hayden desperately wants to show Emma the spinning chair!
