Ok - I know what you're thinking... Bec promised us ages ago that she would post photos of the new backyard but STILL hasn't... what a liar! I know... I know... and I apologize. The photos were all on Paul's laptop and it was going to be a process to sort through them all and then transfer them to the main computer. Anyone that knows me is well aware that anything extra curricular requiring more than twenty minutes worth of effort is usually put in my 'too hard basket' (that thing is over flowing these days!). Hey - give me a break - between cleaning my house, running around after two crazy twins, school runs, sport runs, appointments, cooking meals, dance teaching, music teaching, my primary calling and now my new job my time is precious! I did however make that extra effort for you today.
Now - before you get too excited... I was still slightly lazy about it. There are almost 75 photos of our yard in it's various stages up until it's completion - way too many to sit through and organize right now (I'm working) - however - I did find and pull out a few good 'before and after' shots! I even put them together side by side in Picasa so you would know which photos belong together and can really see the big difference from the start to the finish! You're welcome! I will actually do another post once I sort out the rest of the photos so you can see the guys in action and see the process from start to finish! For now - enjoy these pictures!
It really was worth every penny. The babies and kids are outside playing almost everyday now that it's warming up! Our next project is to get some outdoor furniture and a chair swing so we can really make full use of this awesome new space! Bye, bye over grown jungle - hello new backyard!
This is the view from our balcony looking down and to the left. Those boxes are for our veggie gardens - we did the backyard just before winter so we waited until now to start planting anything! We are excited to start growing some fruit and veg soon!
This is the view from our balcony looking down and to the right. That grass section is actually a sledding track in winter! My favorite part is of course the trampoline! What this picture doesn't show is the awesome pink trampoline pads Paul bought for me! So cute!
This is the view of our patio space directly left when standing on the balcony and looking down. In the bottom right hand corner of the 'after' picture you can see half of our awesome new fire pit! It's actually my favorite feature of the whole backyard and yes - we have already used it multiple times to cook smores!
This is probably one of my favorite before and after pictures as it really shows just how overgrown and 'jungle like' our yard was before. You couldn't even see that there was a house up there behind all those shrubs and trees! Hello house - how nice it is to be able to actually see you!
Stay tuned for some more pics - just don't hold your breath... it might sit in that 'to do basket' for a while yet! : )

Wow! What an amazing space! Well done on a huge job guys! xx
