On Saturday the Woods invited us over to have an Easter celebration with them. We weren't planning on doing a huge amount for Easter this year so Denise told me to leave it to her! Wow! Did the kids have a great night or what! Even if I had planned on doing something fun it wouldn't have turned out so well! Denise and Lance had hard boiled 12 eggs for each of the kids to decorate and dye and set up the table ready for the creative kids to get going. Our kids haven't done this before and had a great time dying the eggs, mixing different colours and trying out different patterns. I must say - I think Paul enjoyed it as well! He was helping the kids and being just as creative.

After the craft activity the kids went out back for an egg hunt. Chanley got to go first and her little face was so adorable! She was so excited and took off running so fast that her eggs kept flying out of her bucket. The older kids then ran off and searched for their eggs too. It was fun watching them all with their buckets searching around for the eggs. Once they found them all they came inside and started opening them. Inside were treats, money and tickets. The tickets were numbered and Denise had gone to the dollar store and bought a bunch of cool prizes. The kids traded their tickets in for a prize. It was a great idea and it meant that not only did the kids have candy but they walked away with silly string and craft activities etc. The kids couldn't wait to use their silly string and immediately went outside for a silly string fight!

We finished the night off with dinner and a play at Hungry Jacks. It was such a great start to the Easter weekend and we were so appreciative of the Woods for including us and organising it all! The only problem now is how on earth I am meant to live up to that kind of fun next year! Thanks Wood family! We had so much fun! : )
