Emma recently won an award at school called a "Star Student Award". They have a special assembly to honour the kids from each class that are receiving the award. Emma's teacher emailed me before hand to tell me she was getting it but Emma had no clue. When she walked into the assembly she broke out into the hugest smile because she realised I could only be there for one reason! She was so pleased with her self because she has been trying so hard at school since we moved here... really trying to catch up and adjust to the differences between Australian and American schooling as well as trying to fit in with her peers and being a good student. Emma was recognised for her kind and caring attitude and her willingness to help others. Way to go Emma! We are so proud of you! : )
