ok - so once again I am behind on my blogging... It just becomes such a chore when you have big posts to do - such as Disneyland - and they take so long! I promise to get around to it soon! Plus I am waiting on some more photos to arrive.. That's my main excuse. I am however going to quickly blog about Hayden. He has impressed me so much the last couple days that I wanted to get this down so I wouldn't forget.
I love Hayden. He is such a loving child. It doesn't matter how much trouble he gets in at school or how much of a BOY he can be - there is no child more loving. He has been my little rock throughout this pregnancy - making me food, getting me drinks, rubbing my tummy, massaging my back - all without being asked. He also kisses my tummy multiple times during the day and says "I love you babies!".
Now Hayden is usually a Daddy's boy. Both our kids are. I don't blame them - Paul is way more fun then me and an excellent Dad. But lately I have had the pleasure of having Hayden be a Mumma's boy. He tells Paul it's because he needs to look after me and the babies and I won't lie - I love it. I love his cuddles, words of encouragement and his over whelming love of the babies already.
Hayden has been sick the past two days - he has croup and has been struggling to breath and feeling very average. I took him to the doctor and he was given a dose of steroids and had the back of his throat jabbed, testing for strep throat. It wasn't fun so I said he could go across the road to 'See's' and pick out a treat for being so good. Hayden being Hayden of course decided he wanted to buy a love heart chocolate for Paul. Even when I said he could only pick one thing he still wanted to buy it for Paul and miss out himself. Impressed with this I told him he could pick out two things. Hayden being Hayden of course then picked out a treat for Emma. Could this child be any sweeter? He was so excited to give them their treats when they got home from school and work. He gets joy from giving already. I hope he never loses this!
Today he was bored and wanted something to do. I had a spare wooden photo frame from my young womens activity on Tuesday night so I let him paint and decorate it. Of course - he decided to make it for his Dad. He said "Dad can take this to work and put it on his desk. He is going to love this". So He did - he made the frame for Paul - chose a picture to put in it and presented it to him when he got home from work.
I just love how Hayden naturally puts others before himself and never wants anything in return. He is such a sweet boy and I love him to bits. He is going to be the best big brother ever. Even when he is sick - he is still putting others first. We love our Hayden and hope he never loses his compassionate side!
