Chefs Helper!

Our kids have new chore charts. They include the regular everyday chores - brushing their teeth, making their beds, cleaning their rooms etc, but they also include weekly 'extra' chores that they have. These chores change every week and rotate between the two of them. This week one of Hayden's extra chores was 'Chefs Helper'. Emma is used to being in the kitchen and helping cook - but Hayden had never really had a go at it. The first night he was assigned chefs helper he was so excited - especially since he had seen Emma doing it the week before! We were making quiche and he wanted to be a part of every little step. It was so cute to watch him grate, stir and mix - and even though he took ages and made quite a bit of a mess he really enjoyed it! I loved seeing the joy on his face when he finished everything too! This is a quick snap I took as we were about to put it in the oven. This has quickly become one of the kids favourite chores and they cant wait to be assigned it! Won't be long before my little apprentice chefs will be able to cook meals themselves! Way to go guys! : )
