Today while we were driving along Paul started asking the kids about where they want to go on missions when they are older. Emma was very quick to answer and said "Perth, Australia!" when we asked her why she said "so I can go and visit Nanna, Grandad, Grandma and Grandad... that's if they are still alive then" oh Emma - I am sure your grandparents are so happy you want to go visit them on your mission and also a little shocked at your "if they are still alive" comment! hahaha - she really didn't understand why Paul and I were shocked and then cracked up laughing!
When we asked Hayden where he wanted to go he wasn't as sure as Emma... we had to go through the list of were all his grandparents, uncles and Dad went and then eventually he said "I want to go to Africa where Steve is" when we asked him why he exclaimed "cause they have really yummy fruit there!" when we questioned him as to how he could possibly know that he replied with "My friend Jack told me - you know Jack - he lives in that freezing cold place" We then clarified with him if he was talking about Jack Davis (Keith and Mandy's little boy) to which he shouted "Yes - my cousin Jack!" with a tone as if to say "are you dumb?" It was so cute!
Incase any of you were wondering... Jack has never been to Africa. I am not even certain that Jack told Hayden that there is yummy fruit in Africa. I think Hayden just said the first thing that came to his mind and it happened to be Jack. Also - Hayden and Jack are not cousins... even if he genuinely believes they are! : )
