We were out and about tonight and on the way home when we rounded the corner to our street smack bam in the middle of the road just standing there was a deer! Our lights obviously spooked it but not enough for it to run away. It simply started trotting down our street. We followed it and it still didn't run. The lights of the car didn't really seem to bother it. Eventually as we got a bit closer it crossed over to the side of the road and onto a neighbours driveway. We snapped a couple of pics but because it was dark we had to shine our headlights directly onto it to take a picture. This spooked it enough to run away so the pictures are a bit blurry. The kids were so excited to see it though - especially Emma as she hasn't seen a deer yet. I guess this is how American's feel when they come to Australia and see a kangaroo!
