SHIPPING!!!

Our shipping arrived today! Hooray! We have been waiting for it and were so excited when it arrived. We started unpacking immediately and placed all the kitchen items into the kitchen first. I am so excited to have my cookbook collection back! Now to start baking and cooking again! We then sorted out the picture frames and trophies. I have included a couple of before and after pictures to show how much more homely the place is starting to look. It was exciting to have a bit of our family memories and pictures around. It definitely made the house feel more like our home.

Hayden was home from school sick and thought it was Christmas. Every time he found one of his toys in a box he would scream out and then run off to play with it. By the end he had quite a collection and we honestly didn't see him all day. He was so happy to just sit and play with the toys he has been missing! I took a picture of him with his toys and included it for you all to see. Emma was really excited when she got home too. She immediately took all her things up to her room and started trying to find homes for it all!

We also put together the beds and side tables in the two visitor rooms downstairs. This was after we spent an hour searching for a part of the bed frame that doesn't actually exist. Boy did we feel silly when we finally realised that we weren't missing any parts - we just needed to put in some screws! It was a bit of a laugh I guess. We are completely exhausted now from lugging such heavy boxes up and down the stairs all day! We still have so much more to get done - a lot on the agenda for tomorrow but it is so exciting to have a little piece of home with us now! More photo's to come : )
