Last weekend we had our first set of visitors! Tyler Kraft and Trevor Kendall! These guys both served missions in Perth and were our favourite missionaries! They used to come over all the time and play cards! They were so much fun as missionaries but even more fun as visitors! They are both studying at BYU Idaho so drove down for the long weekend. It's about a three hour drive from where they are to here.
We played cards a lot (Trevor and I dominated!), watched movies and TV (Bra Boys, 127 Hours, Burried - a lot of basketball and even Keeping up with the Kardashians!), ate way too much (including introducing them to the cheesecake factory which they LOVED) and just hung out! The kids were so excited to have visitors too and wouldn't leave the poor guys alone! With the help of Trevor they re-named Tyler 'Osama' and proceeded to 'nurf gun' him while he was trying to do a test for school! They also hid his phone and money in random places in the basement and sat back to watch him search for it!
The kids were constantly going down stairs to see 'the boys' and even asked me if they were going to live with us from now on! Emma took a real shining to Tyler and followed him everywhere. Hayden and Trevor got on really well too - probably because Trevor is still 5 deep down and behaved like Hayden most of the time! Hayden announced at lunch one day that he wanted to marry him! hahaha so cute!
The boys came to church with us on Sunday and had to introduce themselves to everyone in Sunday School and again in Elders Quorum. Apparently in Elder's Quorum Trevor did the introducing and said "We are friends of the Grinceri's - we met them while serving our missions in Australia and are visiting with them for the weekend." Then as Trevor sat down he decided to add "Oh yeah - and we're dating!" Not everyone heard - mainly just the people sitting behind them and to the sides. They all cracked up laughing which left the other people in the class wondering what was so funny about serving a mission in Australia!
It was a lot of fun and was so nice to have people here who we are friends with and could talk about Australia and people back home! We hope they can come back and visit again soon - even if they did eat us out of house and home! : )
