Time to shovel!

It hasn't gotten old yet - but it will I am sure. This morning at 7:30 it started snowing. It didn't stop until around 1:00pm and even now it's still lightly falling. I managed to drive the kids to school but when it was time to pick Hayden up at 11:45 it was really coming down and the roads were covered. The high priortiy roads were being constantly cleared but the inner streets were left covered for the time being. No way in hell I was going to even attempt to drive in it. Thankfully Paul was around and could take us to go get him. We didn't have too much trouble. We slid a little here and there but Paul has some pretty mean driving skills and always managed to get control and keep going. Can't say the same for everyone else though. We drove past two accidents and one of the Mums at school was sliding all over the car park! We also saw a black truck trying to get up a street and having some serious problems - it was sliding all over the road and slipping backwards! Crazy stuff! So glad it wasn't me attempting to drive in it! Anyway - we got home safe and started shoveling the driveway. Well - by we I clearly mean Paul. I tried shoveling once - fell over and kinda made more of a mess then anything else so Paul has decided it is easier to do it himself then try accomodate and clean up after me : )
