So after years of talking about it... we have finally done it! Moved away! We have settled in Draper Utah and so far - LOVE IT! The kids have just started school at Oak Hollow Elementary and seem to be really enjoying it! Schooling is a little bit different over here so Emma has gone back into year three and Hayden has gone up into year one. This is because Pre-primary (or Kindergarten as they call it) is only half days here - Hayden of course has already done a year of full time pre-primary so we felt it better to place him up a grade into first! He seems to be doing well so far! : )
The kids love not having to wear a school uniform... I on the other hand am not so sure... especially when Emma came home after her first day absolutely covered in texta ink! One thing everyone loves though is no more packed lunches! The kids love getting lunch from the cafeteria and we love not have to pack their lunch every night. The first question I get every morning is "What are the lunch items on the menu today Mum?"
Hayden has a fabulous teacher named Mrs Wilson and Emma is in with a lovely lady named Mrs Smith. They both come home with homework every night that needs to be signed off so we are getting into a routine of snack time and then homework time straight after school. Our lack of TV is helping us achieve this as the kids don't have a whole lot else to do!
