Our family was lucky enough to be invited along to the Gold Coast with my Mum, Dad and two sisters. We stayed at Sea World Nara Resort and spent our time visiting the different theme parks that the Gold Coast has to offer!
Movie World was one of my favourite places to visit because it was such a great family park! The kids loved running around meeting the different characters and getting their pictures taken. They also loved the kiddies ride section that was filled with rides they could go on! Some of them seemed very fast for kids rides but that suits our kids perfectly. They are little dare devils! Emma was lucky enough that this year she was also just tall enough to meet the height requirements for most of the adult rides! This meant she got to go on the Batman drop! Emma is just like Paul and has no fear! She loved the adult rides and whilst I was yelling for her to hold on - she was throwing her hands in the air and laughing! Most of all, our family really enjoyed the Scooby Doo Coaster! This was a ride we could all go on together! We thought it looked quite tame so asked Grandma to come on it with us - little did we know it involved great speed and heights! (Grandma has a fear of heights so she was less then impressed!)
Sea World was another great place to visit! Not only did it have rides but also had entertaining animal shows and touch pools! The dolphin show was amazing! The way the dolphins fly through the air is incredible! We all left the show wishing we were dolphin trainers! The best show by far though had to be the seal show! The show was actually a mini play that the seals act in and was so funny! Most of the time the crowd were laughing at Hayden though because he was cracking up and laughing so loud! It was too cute! Paul and the kids also got to watch a pirate acrobatic show! Emma was picked out of the crowd to come forward and help act a part of the play and was very funny!
Whilst at Movie World we got to watch the car stunt show! This was really cool and also really funny (Marty was the best!) The cars were travelling so fast and going up onto two wheels and only just missing each other! One of the cars drove across the roof and smashed into another building too - it was spectacular! The kids got picked out of the crowd to be filmed for a part of the movie and were really cute! They are not shy at all and jumped at the chance to get on camera!
The last park we went to was Dreamworld! This was a really fun day! Emma was the right height for all of the rides except one so she took the opportunity to go on everything! She went on the claw, the giant drop, the tower of terror and even went on her first loop the loop roller coaster! She loved it! Once again i was yelling hold on while she was laughing and throwing her hands in the air! Hayden loved Dreamworld too as he got to go on loads of kids rides and got to visit Wiggle World! There was so much to see and so much to do! Emma even got picked out to go on stage (again!) for the Sponge Bob show! It was a dress up competition and Emma won! Yay! Go Em!
All in all this holiday was action packed and adventurous! It was however exhausting so we were lucky that we got to come home to a long weekend to rest, relax and get some much needed sleep!
