Vegas Baby

As you all know - I love Vegas. I go there whenever I get a chance. I love that this awesome place is so close to us. It makes it easy to escape to when we need a break or want to go on a mini vacation. I've actually been to Vegas three times already this year haha. Like I said... I love it. Paul had to leave California before the kids and I to get back to work. We (The kids and I) were on spring break however, so decided to stay a week longer and hang out with Mark, Lisa and the kids. It was such a fun week. I miss family, so chilling at their house and watching the kids play together and just chatting was so nice. Paul having flown out earlier meant I was tasked with driving us all home. Eeeek. Anytime we road trip to California Paul drives. So this made me nervous. I decided to only drive half way and have Paul fly down to Vegas and meet us. We spent the weekend there before driving the rest of the way home.

We stayed at the Hilton on the strip and it was so nice. Their pool was amazing and it was definitely one of the more 'family friendly' hotels on the strip. We swam most days and walked the strip a few times to watch the shows. Paul was kind enough to take all the kids to this amazing park he had found while I shopped at the outlets and we caught a few shows in the evenings. Paul took the kids to see Jersey Boys the Musical. They loved it. They already loved the soundtrack so seeing it live was a highlight for them. They even got a signed program from some of the actors. Paul and I then went and saw Michael Jackson One. It is a Cirque Du Soleil show mixed with Michael Jackson songs. It was amazing. I loved it because it wasn't a traditional Cirque show. It was more of a song and dance show with Cirque routines thrown in. Paul liked it better too. Much more his style. We hit up a buffet one night (adults only - the kids stayed in the hotel room watching movies and eating dinner). Then went to another buffet for lunch before leaving for the drive home. The kids always love the buffets so it was a good way to end our vegas weekend. Until next time Vegas...
