It's going to take me a really long time to blog about all of the fun we had on our trip back home to Australia. So I've decided to do it bit by bit and blog about individual experiences/days. Caversham Wildlife being the first one. We had so much fun taking the kids (especially the twins who are our American babies) to see the Aussie wildlife. Caversham allows you to get up close and personal with some of the more iconic Australian animals such as the Kangaroo, Koala, Emu (although he's not very friendly and a Wombat.
The kids had so much fun feeding the kangaroos - I think this was everyones favourite part. The roos were not scared of humans at all and happily came over to get the food - they even climbed up on you if you weren't feeding them fast enough! Here are some happy snaps and a few videos of our time feeding and interacting with the Kangaroos. The video of Paul is super cool. We saw a Mum roo with a joey in its pouch and Paul coaxed it out!

Me and a kangaroo
Paul feeding an albino kangaroo
Kendall was hesitant at first but eventually came around
Me taking selfies with some of the kangas
Hayden was quite the hit with them - he was surrounded and they started climbing on him!
Here are some videos of the day -
This is Emma feeding them
This is Paul trying to get the joey to come out of it's Mum's pouch.
I also added a few pics of us interacting with the koalas and some of the other animals on display or at the meet and greet sections of the park. The sequence of the kids with the wombat is hilarious if you watch Hayden's facial expressions! I will explain whats happening in regards to that above each of the photos!
Baylee looking at the white peacock - she kept saying "pretty, so pretty Mum"
Baylee was allowed to go into the rabbit and guinea pig enclosure and touch the animals. She loved it - but i don't think the animals did. They kept running away from her when she'd try to pick them up. So cute. Kendall is missing because she was throwing a tantrum at the time. Shocker right?
Hayden's favourite animal was the donkey. This was moments before it slobbered all over him!
Boo Boo checking out the chicks!
Ahhhh - miss Kendall. She missed out on majority of the animal experiences because she was having the mother of all melt downs. Paul had to take her away. This was after he finally managed to calm her down and stop her screaming. Look at that face. Butter wouldn't melt right?
They had about 7 or 8 koalas on display. They rotate which ones can be touched so they don't get overwhelmed. This is one of the ones chilling in the tree away from the 'touch zone'.

This little guy was having a munch on some eucalyptus leaves!
I took a selfie with the koala as well!
Mandy (my baby sister) took Baylee to touch the snake - we all know how terrified I am of them... even taking the photo creeped me out. Gross!
This was the girls enjoying a ride on the koala car. They had quite a few turns while we waited for the others to keep sight seeing.
ok - onto the wombat photos. The park rangers had to hold the wombat - firstly because they weigh a ton and secondly - because they have really sensitive hairs on their face that can't be touched. So to keep it safe - you sit next to the ranger while they hold the wombat in an awfully uncomfortable and very revealing manner. Doesn't exactly make for a pretty picture. Anyway - here's how our pictures went....
The kids were told the instructions and sat down. Hayden looked over to the wombat...
Then pulled this face (see below). I couldn't figure out why at first.... but - check out the Wombats face in the next two photos - then go back and look at what it's doing in the first one. Classic reaction from Haydz here. I had no idea at the time. (you may need to click on the photo to enlarge it to see what I'm talking about!)
This is after I got annoyed at Hayden for pulling the above face and asked him to PLEASE just smile nicely. Too funny! At least he listened! On'ya Haydo!
Caversham was awesome! Thanks Mum and Dad for taking us!
