Park City Getaway

Have I mentioned lately how awesome my husband is? Cause he's pretty freaking awesome! This past weekend he surprised us with a family getaway to Park City. We LOVE Park City and go there often. We recently stayed for a weekend with some friends and really enjoyed being there for longer than just a day trip. Paul decided it was time for us to get out of town for a bit and seeming as our last PC trip was so successful he booked us into a resort for the weekend.

We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria and I'm not going to lie - the place was faaaancy! It was such a beautiful hotel and we had a two storey suite with a big kitchen, three fireplaces and a jetted spa. It was awesome! The kids all slept downstairs while Paul and I took the master bedroom and ensuite upstairs (naturally!)

The hotel has a heated outdoor pool and two outdoor spas. The weather in PC is pretty chilly these days so it was super fun to be out night swimming in a warm pool while it was cold outside. The hotel also had smore's by the poolside fire from 7:30 each night so we would swim, make s'mores and swim some more! Baylee had a ton of fun swimming with the older kids whilst Kendall spent all her time chilling on the top step of the spa.

Whilst in PC we did the Alpine slide again. The babies loved it last time so we figured why not do it again! They enjoyed it even more this time around as they knew what was coming. They kept saying "I want slide" as we went up the chairlift! So cute! Emma and Hayden had fun racing down the tracks and seeing who could beat the other without tipping the sled. Much braver than I am that's for sure! Park City is breathtakingly beautiful this time of year with the changing leaves and amazing fall colours. This made the alpine slide extra special as we got to take in the beautiful mountain side. So pretty.

Oh yeah - back to my awesome husband... Did I mentioned he also got up early and made me breakfast in bed? It was the works and was so delicious. I had a sleep in and some good food - wish every day started that nicely! Haha! We just hung out, relaxed and watched movies the rest of the time. It was so nice just to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and just relax and enjoy each other's company. A much needed rest as we get busy gearing up for our trip back home!

Thanks Pauly - you are the best! : )
