Pinewood Derby

Hayden had the opportunity to participate in a pinewood derby through cubs recently. He had to design, shape, sand, paint and put weights on his car in order to try to make it as fast as possible. He had a ton of fun getting his car ready and was so excited for the big day! This was his first time participating in one of these events and he had an absolute blast. I know he is super excited to do it again next year. Here are a couple shots and a video of Haydz on the night! His car is the orange and blue one on the left lane closest to where I am videoing! He jumps up at the end thinking his car came in first and then discovers he was pipped at the very last moment and that he actually came in second. This made us laugh but he was still so happy and just enjoyed running it down the track and playing with the other cubs and their cars. What a fun night! : )
