Boating in Lake Meade!

This past weekend we were invited down to Vegas to go boating at Lake Meade with some friends! We jumped at the opportunity because we love boating and haven't done it since we left Aus! We drove down Friday night so we could head out Saturday morning and spend the day on the lake. We met up with the Wysowski clan that morning at the marina and set off! I'm not going to lie - I was worried about how the babies (mainly Kendall) would react but they were SO good! They loved the ride out, swam in the water, slept on the boat and Baylee even went tubing! The marina also has these massive carp fish that jump around and splash at the dock wanting you to feed them. The twins had a great time throwing food in and laughing when they would splash. We didn't let them feed the ducks though - they were a little aggressive!

We took a grill on the boat with us and anchored near the shore to grill hotdogs and have lunch. We had stopped at the store earlier in the day to get fruit, salad and snacks so it was quite the meal - well needed after a day in the sun and water! Yum! We literally spent all day long - until about 9pm swimming, sun bathing, playing games and tubing. We even took the boat over to see hoover dam. It was such a great day and the babies did such a great job that instead of leaving early Sunday morning we decided to head back out on the boat for another days worth of fun and then travel back that night instead! So glad we did.

The second day we actually took the boat over into Arizona waters instead of staying in the waters of Nevada. This was my favorite because although it was a further boat ride out - it was deserted. We had an entire mouth of water and canals to ourselves. We anchored and just took in the beautiful views of the mountains coming out of the beautiful blue water. So pretty! At one stage Grace and I swam across to the other side of the lake to see if we could jump off of the cliffs but there were too many rocks at the bottom that we decided it probably wasn't the safest idea. It was another great day and once again the babies handled it like gems! The kids were having the time of their lives and Paul and I enjoyed spending time swimming and hanging out with Holly and Rick. it really was an incredible weekend and just what i needed after my exhausting week in Orlando! So glad we went and honestly - would do it again in a heart beat! Thank you SO much for inviting us Rick, Holly, Grace, Melissa and Christina! We love you guys and had so much fun! : )
