Math award!

Today at the end of semester assembly at Emma's school, the teachers presented awards to the students who they felt had worked hard all semester and deserved recognition. Emma is taking an honors Math class this year (the highest level college prep course) and has been finding it very challenging. She was just shy of the qualifying grade to gain entrance into the specialized math class but the teacher said if she promised to work extra hard she could enroll in the class anyway and give it a go.

Not only has Emma worked her butt off to make sure she is keeping up, she also set herself the goal of getting an 'A' grade. Much to her delight she reached this goal and was awarded an 'A' grade in her report this semester. To top it all of she also recieved an award for 'Most Academic Progress in Math' at the assembly! Way to go Emma - we are so proud of you and how hard you have worked this year!
