The day after thanksgiving we decided to put up our Christmas decorations. Partly because that seemed to be the time most people did it here - and partly because we wanted to do it while Brits was here. The three kids were in charge of tree assembling. Paul was in charge of putting on the lights - greatly assisted by me (although sometimes I think I got in the way more than I helped) and then we let the kids all decorate the tree with the baubles and candy canes etc. This year was Emma's turn to put the angel on top of the tree. I must say - Paul was in charge of getting all our Christmas decorations in the sales last year (while I was still in Australia) and he did a great job - I especially like the angel he picked out. It lights up and changes colours and is the perfect final accessory. The kids enjoyed decorating the tree and we loved watching them do it. Brits is so tall she could reach the top - but Emma and Hayden needed a step stool to reach higher then the middle of the tree. In the end we let Brits do the top half and the other two concentrate on the bottom half. It looks good now that it is finished. It's definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Thanks for helping us Brits!
