Camping!

We went camping recently with our friends 'The Woods'. We went up to a site in Tanner Flats -Little Cottonwood Canyon. Denise, Danika and I went up in the morning to secure the site and then we all headed up in the afternoon to begin the adventure. The kids immediately went off exploring and having a great time getting lost in the bush while the adults began setting up camp. When the kids did eventually re-surface they were so dirty and all had wet shoes and socks from playing in the water! We had hot dogs for dinner (because I had no clue how to cook tin foil dinners like Denise did) and roasted marshmallows. We even had our first experience with 'smores'! They were delicious and the kids had so much fun making them! We stayed up late chatting and laughing around the fire and then headed off to our tents for a sleep.... although I'm not too sure the adults actually managed to get much sleep! The next morning we made breakfast and let the kids explore a little more. Our kids had so much fun camping that they were very bummed when it was time to go home! They begged us to stay another night! We will definitely have to go camping again soon - it was a lot of fun!
