Hayden in Heaven!

While we were having a picnic last week we suddenly heard some loud sirens and horns. We looked across the park into the car park and saw a big fire truck and a fire rescue ambulance. They had the lights and sirens going and then eight firemen jumped out. The kids were all allowed to run over and have a look at the trucks and ask the firemen questions. Hayden almost died with excitement! We went running over and the kids went up into the fire truck and checked out all the equipment. Hayden attached himself to one of the firemen and asked him a thousand questions. He was saying "what's in here? what do you use it for?". Hayden told the firemen that he loved their job and that he was going to be a fireman when he grew up. He then showed them a picture of his fire house bed and him in the firefighter gear from his visit to a fire station back in Australia! The firemen thought his bed was really cool and said they wanted one like that too! They gave the kids tattoos and then headed off with the lights and sirens blaring. Hayden couldn't wipe the grin from his face and made me put his tattoo on as soon as we walked in the door! What a cool surprise!
