Happy (Early) Fathers Day!

Fathers day in this weekend in America. So as a surprise we decided to take Paul to a concert in the park on Monday night. The concert was a tribute to Rock and Roll by a group called 'One Rock Band'. The drummer of the band was actually a guy from our ward! Paul had given us a challenge this year to try and be creative without spending too much money... this lead me to good old Hobby Lobby where I purchased a $3 t-shirt and some supplies to decorate it. We used iron on letters to design the front using the slogan 'Worlds Best Dad'. I then let the kids go to town on the back of the shirt using clothing paint. They had an absolute ball designing things and making patterns. After an hour blow drying the shirt was complete. The kids were so excited to give Paul something they had put so much effort into making and to surprise him with a trip to the local park for a picnic. They made him wear his shirt too! It was a great night and a lot of fun! Happy Fathers Day to the most amazing Dad in the world! We love you! x x x
