BYU V Colorado State!

This is a back dated blog post because things got hectic with our trip away that I ran out of time to actually post about it sooner! Apologies!

On Wednesday Feb 23rd we all went to Provo to check out the BYU V Colorado State basketball match! The kids were excited to put on their BYU gear and head down to the game. The problem was - as we were taking pictures of the kids with their outfits on Paul grabbed the tickets for them to hold for a shot. As he pulled them out he noticed that the game wasn't at 7:00pm as we originally thought - it was at 6:00pm! This was at 5:55pm! We had five minutes to get in the car and race down to Provo. Luckily we were pretty much ready and could get going straight away. With some pretty amazing driving from Paul we actually didn't miss too much of the game.

Paul dropped the kids and I off at the stadium as there were NO parks anywhere! He took a while coming back so I figured he must have had to park a fair distance away... little did I know until we left after the game that he had actually parked AGES away and sprinted the whole way back to the game! It was impressive as the walk took us a fair amount of time - at least double what it took Paul to run it! Nice work Paul!

After the game we decided to go have dinner at a Japanese restaurant called 'The Happy Sumo". Trevor and Tyler had taken Paul there when they came down and stayed with us and he really liked it. It was such a cool little restaurant with private booths with curtains and candles! We ordered a couple of different menu items and shared them around. It was delicious! I haven't eaten Japanese before and don't really like sushi so I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the food!

The restaurant was in this gorgeous out door shopping centre with mini fires to warm yourself and fairy lights everywhere! It was so pretty and the kids loved running from one fire to another getting warm. They even found an old Zoltar machine! They were so excited to have a photo with it as it looked exactly like the one from the movie 'Big' and that is one of their favourite movies!

We had such a fun night out in Provo. A special thanks to Mum and Dad (Grinceri) as they bought us the BYU tickets as a gift when they were over here with Paul and Hayden! Thanks a lot! : )
