Our new ward!

We went to church for the second time yesterday and our records finally arrived. We were asked to stand up in sacrament and were welcomed into the ward. Since the time of our arrival here we have had numerous members drop by to introduce themselves and welcome us. The best bit is... they all bring food! We have had muffins, pumpkin bread, chocolate cookies, a picnic hamper with soup and fresh bread, doughnuts and more! Everyone here is so welcoming and so nice! We love the fact that so many members live on our street too!

During sacrament meeting our neighbours daughter gave her farewell talk. She has been called to serve her mission in Brazil! She did a fantastic job and I am sure she will make a fabulous missionary! The ward was bursting at the seams because our ward has a separate ward for the YSA. All of the YSA of course came to see her talk so the ward looked like Perth at conference time! One of my favourite parts of the meeting was the musical item. A group of 16 YSA (8 boys and 8 girls) got up and performed a song. I can't remember what they called themselves but they are a group that do performances and they were AMAZING! Emma leant over and said "it's sounds like a CD!" I was so touched and it really set the mood for a great meeting! The other thing I love about church is looking out the window and seeing the temple! Breathtaking!
