Christmas Eve was fun! We made cookies for santa and the girls had fun tracking him on google earth. They were so excited to see him flying about and getting closer to our house! Santa brought us snow for Christmas too! It started snowing that night and continued until lunch time Christmas day. It was magical! Here are some pics and a video from Christmas Eve.

Goodbye Dummies!
It was time... time to get rid of the dummies! The girls LOVE their dummies so we knew this wouldn't be easy! Paul came up with an idea when our other kids were small that worked perfectly so we did the same thing with the twins. We have the kids leave their dummies out on Christmas Eve. Santa takes them and leaves presents in their place. The girls put their dummies into a basket and we left a note for santa letting him know they were ready to give them to a new baby who might need them. They were sad to give them up but very excited the next day when they came down stairs and found the basket was full of presents! Santa also left them a note telling them he would pass them on to a baby in need. They haven't asked for them since! Woohoo! Thanks Santa! ; )

Making Cookies for Santa!
This year we decided to make our own cookies for santa. I made up some sugar cookie dough and cut out a variety of shapes for everyone to decorate. We had a ton of fun - and the girls ate their weight in frosting and decorations. Santa must have enjoyed them too - he ate them all : )
Christmas Shopping in a Snow Storm!
Hayden wasn't a fan. Probably because he didn't bring a jacket like I told him too. Haha!
Ugly Sweater Christmas Party 2015
Last year some friends of ours had an ugly sweater Christmas party. It was so much fun! This year they couldn't throw one because they didn't have enough space for it... so we teamed up and threw it together at our house. It was so much fun! Here are some snaps from the night. I didn't get many... We played games, had a Christmas quiz, ate way too much food and did a hilarious white elephant gift exchange! We loved it and even though it was stressful having it here - I'd totally do it again! : )
SO. MUCH. SNOW!
We have had a ton of snow this winter. This is some pics from the first massive dumping we got this year! It's beautiful - and the kids love playing in it. Trying to clear the driveway and driving in it sucks though. Luckily this year we got a snowblower! It's lifesaving!
JDS Christmas Concert 2016
The girls have been taking classes at JDS (The studio I work at) for a few months - and this December they took part in the Christmas concert. The were SO excited to be on the big stage. That changed a little for Kendall once she got there. She freaked out and cried and didn't do one single step on stage. It was kind of cute though. Baylee on the other hand was in her element! She loved every second of it and asked if she could do it again right after. She was fabulous. She did fall onto her bum at one point because she was jumping with such enthusiasm - but she handled it like a pro and got right back up and kept on going. So cute! Here are some pics and videos from the day! : )
This last video is a little longer - but I didn't want to cut it because it shows the evolution of Kendall's freak out! Stick with it! : )
More Disney Friends!
Heres another collage of the girls meeting characters at Disneyland. It really was their favorite thing to do! Can't wait to go back again!

Meeting Disney Princesses
As most of you know - we just got back from a vacation to Florida. We hit Disney World and Universal Studios and had a blast. The twins favortie thing to do BY FAR, was to meet Disney Princesses. They waited patiently in long lines, autograph books at the ready, just to get a few precious moments with their favorite characters from their favorite Disney movies. Below are some of the MANY pictures taken during these visits. For any of you non Disney buffs out there...I included the princess/prince name, followed by the movie that they appear in.
Aerial - The Little Mermaid.
Jasmine & Aladdin - Aladdin
Anna - Frozen
Aurora - Sleeping Beauty
Belle - Beauty and the Beast
Cinderella - Cinderella
Elsa - Frozen
Mulan - Mulan
Rapunzel - Tangled
Snow White - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Tiana & Naveen - The Princess and the Frog
These are all professional photographs taken by photographers at Disney World. They are great - but my favorite photo of the enitre trip was captured by Paul! This shot is of the girls sitting in the mat looking up at Cinderella as she talks to them. The looks on their faces during that moment was priceless and I'm so glad Pauly captured it! Here it is - my favorite Disney pic ever!
Christmas Marshmallow Wreaths
I was recently scrolling through some photos and came across a picture of these delicious marshmallow treats. I had a flash back to my childhood! My Mum and I used to make these together and I loved them. The twins are home from school sick today and weren't very happy to be here - so I decided to cheer them up with some festive cooking! Below is some snaps of the process and the instructions for how to make these cute Christmas treats! Enjoy! : )
Ingredients -
1/2 Cup Butter
5 1/2 Cups Cornflakes
5 Heaped Cups of Mini Marshmallows
1 tsp Green Food Coloring
Directions -
Place cornflakes into large bowl. I had two special helpers so I divided the cornflakes between two bowls.
Melt butter in large skillet or saucepan over low heat. Once butter is melted add marshmallows.
Stir over low heat until marshmallows are completely melted.
Remove from heat and stir in food coloring.
Pour marshmallow mixture over cornflakes and mix until they are all evenly coated.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place six heaped spoonfuls onto the tray. using the end of two teaspoons, shape the piles into wreaths. I find the spoons get sticky really quickly so I washed them off after every second wreath.
Decorate the wreaths with candy and then place in the fridge for at least one hour to set.
Enjoy!
We Love Our Dentist
How cute is this? Our kids had their six monthly check ups at the dentist recently. While the twins were waiting for big brother and big sister to get done the dental assistants let them become the dentists. They wore gloves, sat in their chairs and performed some cleaning on the dental teddy bears. They thought they were SO special! I thought it was SO cute!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Christmas is my favorite time of year! Easily! I love everything about it! We got to put up our Christmas decorations a little earlier this year because we were going away! I loved it! I want to put them up in November every year! Happy almost Christmas everyone!
